IT Project Manager

Job Location: Seattle, WA

• Project Description:
  The project manager’s role will be to play an integral part in the creation of a Center of Excellence with the Project Management Office that provides coaching and mentoring on best practices for project managers, work with the PMO Manager to assess and improve exisitng PM practices and skill levels, and review and revise the existing PMO Sharepoint.
  
• Scope of work:
  Requirements for this position will include:
  Minimum Requirement:
  
  • Establish processes and tools to operate a PMO Center of Excellence following industry best practicies and standards (PMI).
  • Coach & Mentor Project Managers on best practices and support them in following these best practicies. These might be one on one or group sessions.
  • Identify and address overlaps and gaps between PMO, Resource Planning and IT Governance.
  • Drive the implementation of project phase gates – Implementation Readiness review and Plan Review.
  • Assist in the assessment of existing methodologies and support processes.
  • Work with PMO Manager and consultant to contribute to the definition of a revised IT Delivery Framework.
  • Assist with recruiting a full time COE Manager.
  • Update exisitng PMO Sharepoint to achieve a single source for all methods, practices and templates. 
  • The requirement is for a single, Senior project / program manager with PMO COE (Center of Excellence) experience. 
  • PMI certification is required. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL based organizations and processes is preferred.

Sql Developer (.NET)

Job Location: Olympia, WA
Job Type: Contract
Job Duration: 7+ Months

• Required Skill
  ·         Senior to expert-level SQL developer with at least five (5) years of SQL experience.
  ·         No less than three (3) years’ experience developing stored procedures, functions and views in an relational database.
  ·         No less than one (1) year experience using Entity Framework 4.0.
  ·         No less than one (1) year using ASP .NET 4.0 for application development.
  ·         No less than one (1) year experience in Object Oriented Programming in C#.
  ·         No less than two (2) years of experience gathering and documenting requirements.
  ·         No less than two (2) years’ experience translating requirements into test cases, test scripts and then performing unit tests.
  ·         No less than one (1) year experience in conducting and participating in structured code reviews.
  ·         No less than two (2) years’ experience using TFS and VS 2010 for source code management and assignment tracking.
  ·         No less than three (3) years’ experience working as part of a team of at least three (3) developers.
  
  Desired Skills
  ·         Experience working for or with a State Educational Entity (SEA), Local Educational Entity (LEA) or School District in the development of technical applications and/or data collections.
  ·         Experience developing or maintaining financial and/or accounting systems.
  ·         Experience in creating, maintaining or modifying SSRS reports and/or reporting services.
  ·         Experience working as part of a team of two (2) or more developers engaged in development within the same code set at the same time
